FML is a cartoon about people who develop superpowers related to their difficult life experiences. #1 is an introduction to the world of FML and the main characters, including Priya who is about to go through with a forced marraige; Ruth, who lost her legs and developed psychic and psychokinetic powers (which still don't help her make sense of the disability benefits system), James who developed healing powers that he uses in his work as a paramedic; Grace, whose mysterious past gave her power over the elements and Sophy who can create inter-racial multiples of herself after a childhood of racist and homophobic bullying. There is also a selection of resources in the book and online to help you dig deeper into the topics covered.
